Client Zero: the first system runs on me
Draft note: published early in the spirit of building in public. Expect rough edges.
Plenty of people sell maps to places they have never been. The plan here is slower: build the operating system on a real business first, in public, and let the notes be the proof. The first client is the builder. Client Zero.
The honest backstory: starting a business always felt overwhelming from the outside. Too many pieces, no order, no map. So the start never happened. Years inside other people’s business operations changed that, one gear at a time. It turns out the pieces have an order. Somebody just has to write it down.
The rule
Nothing ships to a coach that has not run here first. Every workflow, every automation, every template gets tested on this business, with its real inbox and real calendar, before it earns a place in the path.
That rule costs speed. It buys honesty. When a note says a setup took three hours and broke twice, that is not marketing copy. That is a log entry.
Why coaches
Coaching came into view through real estate, then through years of watching skilled people drown in the operational side of their own practice. Great at the craft, buried by the admin. The pattern repeats everywhere, but coaches feel it sharply: every hour lost to admin is an hour not spent on the work they trained for.
“I made this because I wish somebody had made it for me.”
That line is the whole project. The path that did not exist gets built now, one documented step at a time. The notes are free. The mistakes are included.
